We still recommend it for personal projects, small teams, and anyone who finds Asana or ClickUp overwhelming. Power-Ups (integrations and add-ons) extend it well beyond basic Kanban, and the Butler automation engine handles a surprising amount of workflow logic for free. The tradeoff is that once your projects get complex — dependencies, resource planning, timelines — Trello starts to feel like a workaround rather than a solution.
