Readwise Reader
A reading workspace for articles, PDFs, feeds, and highlights
At a glance
Researchers and power readers who want to collect, annotate, and resurface reading
Our take
We use Readwise Reader as a single inbox for articles, newsletters, RSS, PDFs, EPUBs, and video transcripts, then rely on highlights and search to retrieve useful material later. Its connection to Readwise Daily Review and exports to note systems can turn reading into a reference library rather than another bookmark list. We’d recommend it to researchers and heavy readers who already have a habit of saving and annotating material across devices. The tradeoff is no permanent free tier: Reader requires a paid Readwise plan after its 30-day trial, and its many controls can feel heavier than a simple read-it-later app.
