Our take
Basecamp’s pitch hasn’t changed much in years: message boards, to-dos, docs, and check-ins in one calm space, priced as a flat fee rather than per seat. We appreciate that simplicity — no automation rabbit holes, no dashboard building, just a place for a team to coordinate. It genuinely reduces meeting and email overhead for small-to-mid teams. The tradeoff is real: no Gantt charts, no time tracking, no deep customization, so teams with complex dependencies or reporting needs will outgrow it quickly.
