AppFlowy
An open-source workspace for notes, projects, and private team knowledge
At a glance
Privacy-conscious teams, technical users, and Notion users who want self-hosting
Our take
We use AppFlowy when we want Notion-style pages, projects, and collaboration without giving up control over where data lives. Its open-source desktop and mobile apps support pages, blocks, search, real-time collaboration, migration from Notion, self-hosting, and optional AI that can run with customer-controlled models. We think it is best for privacy-conscious teams, technical users, and anyone who wants a flexible workspace with a credible self-hosting path. The tradeoff is that the product is less polished and less universally familiar than Notion, while cloud features and higher AI limits add paid costs.
