Our take
Capacities takes a different angle than most note apps: instead of a flat pile of documents, everything is a typed object (a person, a book, a meeting) with its own properties, which makes it feel more like a lightweight personal database than a notebook. We think this is genuinely useful for people managing structured knowledge — recurring meeting notes, reading lists, project contacts — without wanting a full database tool. It’s still a young product with a smaller plugin and template ecosystem than Notion or Obsidian, so expect some rough edges and missing integrations.
